Our residential concrete repair services are built for Minnesota homes and the tough conditions they face year after year. Whether you need driveway, sidewalk, patio, step, garage floor, or apron repair—or a full replacement—our crew delivers clean layouts, solid grading, and durable finishes that look great and hold up. We offer a range of options, including regular broom-finish concrete, exposed aggregate, and colored concrete, so your repaired or newly installed concrete fits your home’s style while improving safety and curb appeal.

Residential Masonry Repair
Our residential masonry repair services help protect and restore the brick, block, and stone features that give Minnesota homes their character. From deteriorating mortar joints and cracked brick to shifting or weather-damaged masonry, we focus on repairs that are built to last and look right when they’re finished. Our crew brings decades of hands-on experience to every project, with the goal of delivering clean workmanship, clear communication, and results that hold up through harsh freeze-thaw cycles.
Chimneys are one of the most common areas we’re called to repair, and for good reason—constant exposure to wind, moisture, and temperature swings can quickly break down brick and mortar. We repair and rebuild chimneys as needed, including tuckpointing, new caps, and full tear-down-and-rebuild work when the damage is extensive, with a strong emphasis on proper technique, safety, and code-compliant results. If you want, tell me whether you’d like this section to sound more technical (inspection-style) or more sales-forward for homeowners.
Why Choose Dvorak Masonry
What sets our work apart is the attention we put into the details that protect your concrete long-term. Instead of wet cutting control joints the same day, we return the next day to saw cut them—an approach we believe offers real advantages—along with proper curing and sealing compounds to help reduce cracking and improve longevity. We also provide clear, detailed estimates and professional workmanship from a team that’s been working together for decades, so you can feel confident your project is handled the right way from start to finish.

Concrete & Masonry Work Combined
This project is a great example of how concrete and masonry can work together to create a durable, finished look at a home’s main entry. The concrete stoop provides a strong, stable base designed to handle heavy foot traffic and Minnesota’s freeze-thaw conditions, while the red brick and mortar inlay adds a classic detail that ties in with the home’s existing masonry. By combining these materials the right way, you get both long-term performance and a clean, custom appearance that immediately improves curb appeal.
Adding a brick-and-mortar accent banding like this is often a simple, low-budget way to elevate the look of an entry without changing the entire stoop or walkway design. A small inlay can introduce color, texture, and a more custom finish that complements the home’s brick or stone, making the front step feel more intentional and higher-end.
Major Stoop Upgrade
What you’re seeing here is the finished result of a major upgrade for this homeowner’s entry. We started by tearing out the old stoop and removing the existing footings, which did not meet code. From there, we rebuilt the structure the right way—pouring new frost footings, laying concrete block up to grade, and forming and pouring a new concrete stoop to create a solid, long-lasting base designed for Minnesota conditions.
Once the concrete work was complete, we capped the stoop with the masonry finish you see, adding a clean, durable surface and a more refined look at the front door. This project is a great example of how our team combines concrete and masonry skills on the same job to deliver an entry that’s not only stronger and code-compliant, but also noticeably improves curb appeal.

Before / After Chimney Repair Project
We completely tore the chimney down and repaired the concrete block foundation to ensure the structure was stable from the ground up. During the process, we also eliminated a false flue, improving both function and long-term reliability. This approach allowed us to correct underlying issues rather than simply covering up visible damage.
Once we completed the concrete block foundation work, we rebuilt the chimney using the customer’s choice of brick and all new clay tiled flue liners and fire box. The new masonry delivers a clean, finished look while maintaining the durability and performance expected from a properly constructed chimney. Every step was completed with close attention to alignment, craftsmanship, and weather resistance.
This was a great project to highlight the versatility of our team. From demolition and structural repair to detailed brickwork and rebuilding, we handled each phase efficiently and professionally. The end result is a chimney that looks great, performs correctly, and is built to last.
